Sandy Mitz

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our founder and principal, Sanford J. Mitz on May 27, 2016.
Sandy joined the present firm in 1973 while finishing his formal education. The firm became Goren & Associates, Goren & Mitz SC and then became Mitz & Rozansky when Steve joined the firm in 1987.

Sandy instilled his client-first philosophy in all of us. He said, “I take the relationship with our clients very seriously. Our hands-on approach reflects that commitment in every task we perform on their behalf. I have personally made it my responsibility to see that the work we do is accurate, is supported by the latest systems and technology and is delivered with a personal touch. The well-being of our clients, both as individuals and businesses is, and always will be, our primary concern.”  We will continue to uphold these principles as we move forward.

Personal:
Sandy is survived by his wife Lynda, a retired special education teacher, and their three sons. They lived in a 100-year-old industrial building that they converted into living space and a second location for the firm. Sandy had a wide range of interests including: designing, building and maintaining computer installations; volunteer service to several causes; motorsports (kart racing); classic car restoration and enjoying the downtown lifestyle with Lynda, both on foot and on a bicycle.

Sandy will be missed by all who knew him.
